These are the EWI Tourcase tm model RL pull-over flight cases sized and intended for use with the EWI RPPX and SPPX model reel snakes. Currently the three models available include the RL-4840 which fits all sizes of the EWI SPPX reel snakes, the RL-6047 which fits the small sized EWI RPPX reel snakes, and the RL-6060 which fits the medium and large EWI RPPX reel snakes. (See Applications section for exact reel snake model numbers.)
The side panels are constructed with 3/8 inch hardwood plywood and covered with a black ABS laminate surface. The extrusion is all aluminum and assembled with aluminum rivets. The rivets on the recessed handles, 2 handles on the RL-4840 and 4 handles on the RL-6047 and RL-6060 are backed with washers to ensure strength and durability and the inside of the case is fully lined with 3/8" closed cell foam rubber.
The RL cases are equipped with 4 recessed butterfly latches to secure the cover to the tray and four 4" swivel casters are included, two of which are locking style. The casters mount to a 3/4" plywood caster board.
These cases are manufactured to exacting tolerances with excellent fit and finish. The cover will perfectly fit on the tray either way around. In fact, the cover for any one model of case will fit on the tray of any other case of the same model.
