New state taxes for internet sales: Based on last year's Supreme Court decision of "South Dakota vs. Wayfair, INC regarding interstate/internet sales, some individual states are requiring sellers to charge sales/use tax on sales coming into their states. Audiopile Distributing is complying with these individual states requirements and will be collecting sales tax for remittance to the requiring states until the requirements are changed. Here we will list these states' required wording as we are notified.
Alabama: ”Seller has collected the simplified sellers use tax on taxable transactions delivered into Alabama and the tax will be remitted on the customer’s behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue. Seller’s program account number is SSU-R010128909.”
