These are the
EWI Tourcase tm Model RL pull-over flight cases sized and intended for
use with the EWI RPPX model reel snakes. Currently the two
models available are the RL-6047, which is sized for the small and
medium sized EWI RPPX reel snakes, and the RL-6060, which is sized
for the large EWI RPPX reel snakes.
All RL series cases
are equipped with 4 ea. 4 inch ball and roller bearing swivel
casters. Two of the four casters are locking style casters
which are equipped with foot activated and release style locking
mechanisms. The casters are shipped packed inside the case to
protect them in shipping. The bottom caster mounting boards
are equipped with integrated tee-nuts and the hardware is included
to mount the casters. Mounting the casters requires a 12MM or
1/2" end wrench.
The RL series cases
are equipped with 4 ea. medium sized recessed butterfly latches to
secure the cover to the tray. These cases are also equipped
with 4 ea. recessed padded flip-handles, two each on each side of
the cover.
The inside of the RL
series cases are fully padded with 1/2" high density foam rubber.
All 8 corners of the
RL series cases are protected with large steel ball corners.
The extrusion is all aluminum. The side panels are constructed
with 3/8 inch hardwood plywood with an black ABS laminate surface.
The case is assembled with good quality rivets.
I suggest a couple of
different methods to permanently mount the snake in the tray:
1) Quick and
fairly easy: about 1 1/2" drywall screws and fender washers
available any most any well stocked hardware store.
2) "Pro":
about 2" long #10 x 32 machine screws through tee-nuts, which
requires drilling 4 holes.
These cases are
manufactured to exacting tolerances with excellent fit and finish.
The cover will perfectly fit on the tray either way around.
In-fact, the cover for any one model of case will fit on the tray of
any other case of the same model. |
