Technical Description |
These are the EWI Tourcase
tm Model KB keyboard road cases suitable for
keyboards of varying sizes. Currently 3 models are
available: KB-61, KB-76, and KB-88.The side panels are constructed with 3/8 inch hardwood plywood and covered with
a black ABS laminate surface. The extrusion is all aluminum and
assembled with stainless steel rivets. The rivets on the 3 recessed
handles are backed with washers to ensure strength and durability and the inside
of the case, with the exception of the lid, is fully lined with 3/8" closed cell foam rubber
(1" closed cell foam on the wheel end). The inside of the KB series lids
are fully padded with medium density "egg crate" style foam rubber.
The lid is held closed with 2 large butterfly latches and utilizes a full piano
hinge and 2 integrated lid stops. All corners are protected by large ball
corners and each case has 2 bogie wheels on one end to facilitate
transportation.Included with each
case is an ample amount of "pick & pluck" and egg crate foam. This
foam will give you the ability to custom modify the case for your
particular keyboard model. We recommend that after you modify the
pick & pluck foam, you stick the pieces together using a spray
adhesive to make a more permanent blocking.
These cases are
manufactured to exacting tolerances with excellent fit and finish.

consult the interior dimension chart below to make sure your
keyboard will fit a particular model case.
