| The EWI CA-146 is a basic medium professional quality
90 degree Male XLR cord end.
Two Phillips head screws hold the back cover in place which acts
as the clamping mechanism to secure the cable in the body of the
cord end.
One Phillips head screw secures the contact assembly into the
body of the cord end.
The body is constructed with nickel silver plated steel.
The contact pins are a medium grade chrome plated steel.
Care must be observed to properly position the conductor ends in
the body prior to making the solder connections since the conductors
must make a 90 degree turn inside the connector. Assembling
these connectors on mic cables takes a certain amount of expertise.
